My “Introduction” [documented, warts and all] To Macro using cheap DSLR and “mashup” gear
I Wanted to try some macro photography on my EOS 20d, and stumbled upon a used Olympus OM Bellows, I already had an OM 35mm Film Outfit [going rusty],
I Needed to buy a converter ring [£7 -£8] OM/EOS & a Canon Extension Tube for Clearance. [£3-£4] I’d be able to use my lovely, redundant, festering, manual Zuiko OM lenses from the Olympus on the Canon, and, try some macro shots too.
I found a Bellows for under £50.00 delivered, [It was bloody broken!] Super glued it, all seems OK.
Setup: Canon EOS 20d OM System Bellows, Adaptor rings OM /EOS Extension Tube [for clearance] 50mm & 135 Zuiko / Olympus Lenses.
Adaptor ring took ages to turn up when it did I tried this. OM Zuiko on the EOS 20d
That Seems to work OK……………..[first ever OM lens on EOS mashup]
Here goes: canon + short tube + bellows + 50mm lens what a lump. [lens -to- subject around 20 mm]
